Hire a Swedish Nanny or Au Pair

If you're searching for Scandinavian childcare then you've come to the right place. We find and place Swedish Nannies and Swedish Au Pairs with families located in London and the rest of the UK.

It's All About You!

Before finding you a Nanny or Au Pair we want to get to know you and your family. From the big things in your life such as work, family and friends to the smallest details like your child's favourite bedtime story, it's all important to us.

Once we've got to know you, we'll handpick the best candidates and only present you with the ones that we believe will complement your family. We'll take into account everything you have told us, and offer you someone who will not only work for you, but who will work with you, making everyday that little bit easier.

There are several different types of childcare available. We offer male and female candidates in either a Nanny or Au Pair role, each role has two varients, the main differences between these can be seen below. Swedish Values

Sweden is a childcare friendly country, they see children as individuals, motiviating and supporting their unique personalities. At the heart of the country is a heathly and active lifestyle, with homecooked meals and time spent outdoors.

The majority of Swedish people are bilingual, speaking Swedish and English fluently. Your child may have the opportunity to pick up Swedish as a new language or maintain their Swedish if they already speak it.

By welcoming a Swedish Nanny or Au Pair into your home we hope that your child will have the opportunity to benefit from some of these Swedish values.

Our fee is backed by our Swedish Nannies Promise. If either you or the candidate are not happy and decide to end the contract within 14 days of the start date we will refund any fees paid or offer to provide another match for free. Terms & Conditions apply.

The Paperwork

We work as an agency, matching you with a Nanny or Au Pair. Once matched you will become the employer of the nanny, and as such you will have a number of obligations.

Contract

We can provide an employment contract for both parties at no additional cost or alternatively you may provide your own. We recommend that you read the contract and if you need any advice, consult a solicitor or your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

Salary & Tax

Nannies will need to be provided with payslips that summarise earnings and tax. This is not a requirement for Au Pairs. There are a number of companies that can manage this process for you, we recommend Nannytax. Alternatively you can set up and operate your own PAYE scheme by contacting HMRC.

Pension

Accrued state pension contributions in the UK can be transferred to a Nannies domestic pension system. The Nanny will need to retain all details of employment and at retirement age contact the relevant Government agency. In Sweden, it is handled by the Swedish Pension Agency.

The Process

Six simple steps between you and your Nanny or Au Pair!
